Upcycle any glass vase to a ceramic vase knock off! This easy and quick DIY will save you so much money, and give you endless options for vases. Whether you have an older vase with an outdated colour, or you found a glass vase with the perfect shape and size, but without the price tag of a ceramic vase, this tutorial is for you!
What You'll Need:
- Acrylic Paint
- 1 Tsp Baking Powder
- Paint Brushes, 3" Wide One Preferred and A Smaller One For Small Spots
- A Vessel To Mix Your Paint
- Vase
This tutorial can be done in two easy steps! First, you'll need to mix your acrylic paint and baking powder until it's a slurry. Second, you'll need to use your 3" wide paint brush, get it wet, but not dripping, and brush your paint in a circular motion, similar to a pottery wheel. Let it dry, and you're done!
Optional: If you'd like a two toned look, you can get an additional acrylic paint colour mixed with 1 teaspoon of baking powder and apply a second coat with a dry 3" brush.
